The Positive Vibe Tribe
“Mr. Positive Vibes” was born in Baltimore and raised in Annapolis MD. As a summer job in 2008, he started working for a valet company downtown where he grew passionate about the history of Annapolis and its waterways. Kevin graduated from Virginia Tech in 2010 with a degree in Nutrition & Exercise and prior to starting Capital SUP in 2014, he had a 3.5 year run as a Master Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness in Annapolis.
In the autumn of 2015, Kevin organized the largest oyster garden in the Annapolis community, consisting of 50 oyster cages along the docks of the South Annapolis Yacht Centre. This kickstarted a passion for environmental stewardship leading to a partnership between Capital SUP and the Spa Creek Conservancy in 2016 when he conducted weekly water quality testing.
Entrepreneur, CFO of Capital SUP, and leader in the clean water movement. Kevin keeps his time busy but encourages the importance of a healthy work/life balance. He lives by a self-motto that keeps him driven for more realizing anything is possible.

Charlie is a lifelong athlete. He competed in many sports during his high school and college career. With the encouragement of close friends, he came to yoga looking for an alternative way to stay healthy and not abusing his body on a daily basis. Once he discovered yoga in 2007 he immediately noticed the benefits in his other athletic activities as well as off the field of competition. Charlie became a dedicated practitioner in 2009 and in 2013 completed his teacher training with Kim Manfredi.
While his training is rooted in the Hatha tradition, his classes are influenced by a variety of different styles he has and continues to experience. His curiosity with the movement of the human body continues to drive him towards continued learning and sharing that with his students. His classes are energetic and light-hearted infused with upbeat music while including lots of twists, inversions, and different balancing poses. Students are encouraged to take the competition out of their practice and focus on their journey as a yogi. Charlie hopes to help share the many benefits he has experienced from practicing yoga and have his students leaving class feeling stronger, more energized, and more balanced.
Mackenzie Rawls is a Maryland native who has been a part of the CapitalSUP community for two years. Mackenzie caught the paddle bug after her first day on a stand-up paddleboard, joined race training shortly after her first race in Rincon PR in 2016 and has been on many CapitalSUP adventures since. Knowing she had many passions to share, Mackenzie got certified to give lessons, work in the stop, and teach yoga but had something else in mind with those certifications – a SUP Dance class. A huge success in its inaugural year, Mackenzie is very excited to be bringing her passions back to the water. Mackenzie dances professionally with Bowen McCauley Dance and freelancers all over the DMV as a dancer and choreographer.
She has taken her passion for dance and teaching to studios all over the DMV instructing all ages in varying styles of dance (ballet, modern, jazz and hip-hop) over the last ten years and has loved all of the new inspirations her students bring to her career and life, hence bringing the passion, party and dance floor to the water last summer! Mackenzie is also a 200 Hr Hatha Raja yoga instructor who is thrilled to be returning to share time on the boards with you meditating, practicing, and embracing all that this beautiful water has to offer. She can usually be found by the speakers or on the water and she can’t wait to party with you this summer!
